How much does shipping cost?

Shipping charges are calculated in real-time, based on your shipping address and the products being ordered. You can estimate shipping prices by entering the mailing zip/state on the shopping cart page.

When will my order ship?

Over 90% of our orders ship out in 2-5 business days (we do not process orders on Saturday or Sunday). If there is a problem with your order or we are short of yardage, we will contact you!

When will my order arrive?

Delivery time depends on the shipping method you choose during checkout, and your shipping address. The following shipping times are estimates only. If you have a deadline and must have your order before then, we recommend selecting an expedited shipping option. USPS Standard is typically 2-8 business days; for USPS Priority Mail and UPS Ground, please see the following maps:

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! has customers in over 40 countries, and we ship to most locations in the world. Please note that we cannot mark any international order as 'gift', reduce the shown value, or otherwise alter order information - doing so violates US law. is not responsible for any customs or duty charges. We have no control over these charges, and the customer is solely responsible for paying any customs or duty charges.

How do you ship your orders?

We ship using UPS or USPS. During the checkout process you can choose the shipping method most suitable for you - most of our customers use USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground.

Can I get faster shipping?

Yes! During the checkout process you will have the option to select from expedited UPS shipping methods, depending on where you are shipping to and what products are in your cart. Expedited orders must be placed by noon Pacific Time in order to guarantee same-day shipment. Please also note that orders are processed only during Mon. - Fri. business days. Orders placed on the weekend, or on Holidays, will be processed the next business day.

Do you have free shipping?

We offer free shipping on orders over $100 to the continental US (lower 48 states). Orders containing over-sized items receive 50% reduced shipping rates (displayed at checkout - USPS only).
Extended US
Orders over $100 going to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories and APO/FPO addresses see 50% reduced shipping prices (displayed at checkout - USPS only). Orders containing over-sized items are not eligible for a shipping discount.
Over-sized items are products that are larger than usual and more costly to ship. These products include - but are not limited to:

  • Faux Fur
  • Warm Window
  • Packaged batting in Full, Queen, or King size
  • Home Decorating fabric over 60" in width (applies only if fabric must be kept rolled)
  • Rulers over 25" in either length or width

*Unfortunately we are not able to provide free shipping on international orders. **All free shipping orders will be sent by UPS or USPS, as decided by Fabric Depot.

Can I pick up my order in-store?

Customer in the US and Canada have the option of placing an order online and picking it up at our Portland, Oregon retail store - at no additional charge! When checking out, simply select the 'in-store pickup' option. You will be sent an email when your order is available for pickup — usually 1 to 3 business days after your order is placed.

When you come in and get your order, go to the Special Orders counter in the southwest corner of our store. Provide your name and ID (so we know it's you!) and a staff member will bring your order.
