Rainy Day, by Me & My Sister Designs from Moda
Every once in a while a new fabric collection comes along that just makes your heart sing and dance, makes you say “this is so cute,” and you just know everyone is going to love it. Well, this is it - Rainy Day, by Me & My Sister Designs from Moda. With a rainbow of colors and fun prints with umbrellas, fish, and raindrops, it reminds us that Spring is just around the corner.
We had the chance to talk with Barb from Me & My Sister Designs to ask her a little about this collection:
Fabric Depot – “What was your inspiration for Rainy Day?”
Barb – “Our inspiration was a small swatch of antique fish fabric. Its former life was an old typewriter cover. It was badly damaged and very yellow with age. We just loved the fish and the seeds. The group sprung from that ratty old piece of fish!
Fabric Depot – “What is your favorite piece out of the collection?”
Barb – “I would have to say….the small circles. Print 22297, we call it Puddles. I think they’re so versatile and would blend into any stash.”
Fabric Depot – “We know you have patterns with this collection but what would you personally make from the fabric?”
Barb – “I’m kinda thinking a small bag or wallet out of the stripe fabric would be too cute!!”
This collection was just too cute that we couldn’t resist making a little girl's dress. This is just so sweet. Our darling model is Kaydance, the granddaughter of our Special Orders Manager. We used the Lily pattern by Olive Ann designs.
We also have these patterns available:
