Get in with the Pep Squad

Pep Squad bundle pile Fat quarter bundles are perennial favorites for quilters -- a collection of fabrics that all coordinate and can easily be combined to make a suggested quilt pattern. It makes quiltmaking easier when the fabric choices are already made and you know the pattern that it will work with. We wanted to take that idea just one step further.

This month we are introducing the first in a new series of designer-curated bundles. Choosing from thousands of fabrics, we've invited designers to put together a grouping of fat quarters that mix manufacturers and designers to create a Fabric Depot exclusive. Then we match that bundle with a few quilt patterns that it will work with instead of a single pattern.

Flight Club Pep Squad is our inaugural offering put together by Sam Hunter of Hunter's Design Studio. It's a cheerful mix of quilting cottons from Anna Maria Horner, Mary Fons, Tula Pink, Kaffe Fassett, Alison Glass and more.

Blending bright teals, fuchsia, goldenrod, purple and pea pod green, the collection of 14 fat quarters works perfectly with five Hunter’s Design Studio patterns: Flight Club, Fourteen on Point, Fast Fourteen, Fourteen Squared, and Faster Fourteen.

Each of these patterns calls for 14 fat quarters and makes a throw size quilt. For the brand new Flight Club pattern, you'll also need a neutral background (we used Robert Kaufman Whisper Prints-Tossed Angles).  Then that's it, you can start sewing your own cheerful Pep Squad quilt.

Here's all you need to get started!

Pick one of Hunter's Design Studio patterns:

•  Flight Club quilt pattern
•  Fourteen on Point quilt pattern
•  Fast Fourteen quilt pattern
•  Fourteen Squared quilt pattern
•  Faster Fourteen quilt pattern

Go on and give it a try! One beautiful, five quilt options -- all ready for you to make a quilt this weekend.
