It’s just one week until Quilt! Knit! Stitch! and we are busy, busy, busy getting ready. The annual event will be held again at the Oregon Convention Center on August 13, 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Come on by our booth to see new products, meet designers and get special show prices!
Join us on Thursday to meet quilt and fabric designer Jessica Darling who will kick off Quilt! Knit! Stitch! with her high-energy demo. Her Villa Rose Designs are great projects for beginners and skilled quilters with lots of room for personal creativity and Jessica will be sharing her own take on quilt design Thursday morning.
Michele Muska will be be at our booth in the afternoon to demonstrate the great new EZ Quilting Mini Tools. If you haven’t had the chance to see them yet, you’re going to want to stop by. She will be there both Thursday and Friday, starting at 1 p.m. to demonstrate all the quiltmaking possibilities!
She will also have copies of her book "Quilting the New Classics: 20 Inspired Quilt Projects from Traditional to Modern Designs" available for purchase and will be happy to sign a personalized copy for you!
Drop in on Friday, fiber artist and author Allie Aller will be with us to share her crazy quilting and embellishment techniques and sign copies of her new book “Quilting… Just a Little Bit Crazy.”
If you haven't had the chance to see the beautiful stitching and embellishing that Allie is known for, make sure to stop by at 11 a.m. You'll be amazed at how simple it can be with the right tools and supplies.
We’ll also have the new Sizzix Fabi Personal Fabric Cutter and dies with us to show you an array of possibilities for quilting fun. The precision cutter makes it easy to get duplicate shapes, making quilt-making easier and more accurate. Come see a demo and samples!
Come by on Saturday to learn some English paper-piecing techniques with author and crafter Diane Gilleland. She’ll be signing copies of her new book All Points Patchwork and showing off her favorite tools for making EPP as fun and simple as possible.
Local pattern and fabric designer Elizabeth Hartman will stop by at 11 am to chat with you about her patterns, color choices and quilting.
On Saturday afternoon, we will be joined by Sue Elders of Euro Yarns for a luxury yarn ‘tasting’ with dozens of exotic fibers, hand-dyes and imports available for you to touch and feel. Come by and help us choose which to carry in our retail store! Special orders will be taken for these gorgeous new yarns.

You might have seen all the chatter about the Jungle Abstractions: Lion quilt when it premiered at Quilt Market this spring, but now you can see it in-person. Violet Craft’s pattern and kits will be available alongside our full-size Lion quilt.
