We love featuring local designers. We are lucky to have a number of talented fabric designers right here in Portland, OR. Mo Bedell, designer for Andover Fabrics, let us borrow a quilt from her Hothouse Flowers collection.
It's been a long time coming to share this quilt with you. We couldn't help but take it out to some real hothouses at one of our favorite flower shops, Tony's Garden Center!
A woven herringbone flannel was selected as the coordinate for this quilt. We love this fabric from Robert Kaufman - it has two colors woven together to create a beautiful shade of light green that complements the prints in this collection.
Mo's full collection of Hothouse Flowers is available in our retail store. We've selected nine fabrics, featured in this quilt, for you online.
Can you believe these colors? Looking at these fabrics is like walking into a warm greenhouse. Instead of walking through a fragrant greenhouse, cuddle under a quilt made from these fabrics. It is sure to make you feel just the same.
We are so impressed with the way this quilt is transformed by the stitching details. The long-arm quilting cannot go unnoticed; it creates a unique repeating texture and movement with the fabrics that we simply love!
This quilt will be hanging in our retail store. Come say hello and see this beauty for youself, you will be glad you did!
