Fall 2014 Quilt Market Frenzy

new from StofAnother whirlwind trip to Quilt Market in Houston this past weekend and we're still in a bit of a stupor. There's so much to see with patterns, fabric collections, tools, and notions from both old and new faces in the quilt industry. We had a fabulous time scouting out the best items and can't wait to share the products we'll be offering both in-store and online.

As we make decisions and wait for new arrivals, we thought you might like to see some of the bounty that's available at Quilt Market. Thanks to our team, here's a brief glimpse at what we had to choose from:

Aurifl threadsBright colors abound in thread, including these from Aurfil.

Cloud 9 Jessica Jones collectionJessica Jones' barkcloth collection "Time Warp" from Cloud9 Fabrics was just one of the many substrates we saw. Fabrics were available in lawn, voile, double gauze, corduroy and more.

Michael Miller Winter Frost collectionMichael Miller Fabric's new Winter Frost is one of several new collections that were befitting of ice princesses.

Jennifer Sampou and Trudy ParryPattern and fabric designer, Jennifer Sampou, joined us to chat about quilting with Denyse Schmidt, her new collection and the amazing industry we are a part of.

Big stitches with Cotton+SteelVarious substrates were presented in quilts, clothing, bags and accessories, including this baby blanket made with double gauze in the Cotton+Steel booth.

Diamond Textiles stripesFull of color and both visual and tactile texture, these new cottons from Diamond Textiles were calling our name.

Blumenthal buttonsBlumenthal made a real splash with hundreds of bright, colorful buttons for apparel, art quilting and more. (Check out our retail store for a wide selection.)

Kaffe Fassett and Holly MarshHolly, our quilting cottons buyer, had the chance to meet and get a book signed by the kind and incredibly talented Kaffe Fassett. {Psst! We'll be giving the book away, too!}

V and Co.Vanessa Christenson (V and Co.) and several other Moda designers showed off new fabric collections with corresponding patterns and kits.

Alison Glass HandcraftedBig stitches on patchwork were everywhere and we especially loved this quilt made from Handcrafted, Alison Glass' newest collection with Andover Fabrics.

Every spring and fall, Quilt Market comes around and we're nearly overwhelmed with all the new products available for sewists and quilters. We're thrilled to be able to bring them to you! Look for upcoming posts with collection introductions, giveaways, pattern unveiling and much, much more. We have so much to tell you!
