We had the joy of seeing Jennifer Sampou's latest collection for Robert Kaufman Fabrics
at Quilt Market last October and we were all enamored by Black and White. So when she asked if we'd participate in her blog hop, we readily agreed, eager to share this gorgeous range of fabrics with our customers and readers.
Black and White
includes six different designs in three colorways; for our project, we picked a little of each. We used 12 different fabrics from her new collection and coordinating Studio Stash Yarn Dyed fabrics with a traditional quilt block called Winding Ways to create a wall quilt that plays up its curves.
Using the Accuquilt die cutter
made it easy to both cut out and assemble the various shades into this wall quilte we are calling "Supernova."
For the back, we used her large-scale print and quilted it by stitching along the seam lines to show off the circles formed by the curves of the quilt pattern.
To inspire you with even more possibilities, we hope you'll join in on the blog hop, visiting new designers, teachers and companies over the next two weeks as they share their Black and White
projects, as well. Jennifer
