AMNW Design Challenge: Mix It Up
Today AM Northwest kicked off its first ever Design Challenge!
Four talented fashion designers from the Art Institute of Portland will join American Sewing Guild 2008 Hall of Fame Honoree, Pati Palmer to discover their first design challenge of the week: The Mix It Up Print Challenge. The ladies participating are Lindsay Chapel, Amy Sim, Natalya Hebert, and Germaine Barnard. During this week the contestants will visit Fabric Depot, meet their models and in-store mentors to begin the process of creating an innovative new look made from a McCALL’S pattern with three different Westminster (Free Spirit & Rowan) Prints using Palmer/Pletsch PerfectFuse™ interfacing.
Tune in on Friday to see the looks that come to life on the models, in front of some tough scoring judges. AM Northwest viewers have a chance to pick their favorite as well, by casting their vote on AM Northwest’s Design Challenge website.
The finished garments from the first challenge will be on display here at Fabric Depot on Friday afternoon, January 27th.
