Fabric Depot's Retail Store
Fabric Depot is the largest, most complete, locally owned fabric store in the country. We stock a vast array of brand name, first quality fabrics and notions in a beautifully maintained store.
You will be inspired by over 20,000 fabrics in our quilting, home decorating, bridal and fashion departments! We also carry a large selection of quilting supplies, sewing notions, books, patterns, yarn, gifts and specialty foods.
We have plenty of free parking for buses and RV's. Please email JanC@FabricDepot.com to arrange special discounts for groups of 10 or more.
Fabric Depot is easily accessible by car and MAX Light Rail, and only a 15 minute drive from downtown Portland or the airport.
Online products are available through the website only. Web orders may be picked up at our retail store for your convenience. We look forward to seeing you!

We offer wholesale discount to the public on full bolts of fabric, batting and notions in specified quantities; no business license necessary. Our Special Orders Department will leave no stone unturned in meeting the diverse needs of our customers.

Quilting
Our quilting floor is pure joy. We offer an unrivaled selection of more than 11,000 designer quilting cottons. From the oldest names in the industry, to the most recent design houses, we carry the latest offerings of more than 75 suppliers. Current designer collections are complimented with row upon row of quality solids, marbles and background fabrics. We stock more than 175 colors of Kona cotton solids, 600 Bali batik cottons and a wide variety of themed and novelty prints, quilter's flannel and children's prints. All fabric is neatly draped and displayed at eye level under excellent lighting with beautiful quilts and model garments on display.
Home Decorating
Fabric Depot is a decorator's dream with more 2,000 drapery and upholstery fabrics in stock. Our fabric reflects the most current colors and trends in interior design. We have beautiful decorator silks and an extensive collection of trims and tassels.
Bridal & Special Occasion
Everything to adorn the bride and her party: silk and satin, beautiful embroidered overlays & appliqués, ribbon, Swarovski's Austrian crystals & rhinestones, French and Swiss lace, steel boning and busks. Brides and theater costumers alike love the wide color range of our elaborate trims. Complete the picture by selecting from our collection of pearl, rhinestone and crystal tiaras and necklace & earring sets for a truly unforgettable occasion.
Fashion Fabrics
Fabric Depot has not forgotten the clothing sewer! We cater to our fashion enthusiasts, in fact, the Palmer/Pletsch International School of Sewing is located in our building. We carry a wide selection of premium wool, silk, linen, tencel, rayon (including unique batik dyed rayon), stretch woven cottons, active wear, knits and more than 100 rolls of faux fur.
Notions, Books & Patterns
For inspiration we offer more than 1,000 books, all major pattern companies and many independent quilting pattern designers. Our vast selection of notions and quilting supplies is a delight, so too is our up-to-date knitting and crochet department.

Fabric Depot carries many hard-to-find items: Speaker cloth, billiard cloth, chalkboard cloth, artist's canvas, rubberized flannel sheeting, Sunbrella® canvas (awning and furniture weight) & more.

Fabric Depot's History
Established in 1992 by Tony and Marie Bosboom, Fabric Depot is the largest fabric store in America and is located in Portland, Oregon. As former owners of the Fabricland chain, Tony and Marie poured a lifetime of experience into their new venture. The Bosbooms understood the needs of the home sewer and thought big - Fabric Depot would occupy a building of 1½ acres and offer the most comprehensive collection of fabrics and notions at the best possible price. Today we have over 20,000 first quality, brand name fabrics in stock and a vast array of notions, patterns, books and quilting supplies. New product arrives daily and we are known for our well-kept store and knowledgeable customer service. The Bosboom's motto of 'Respect for the Home Sewer' is reflected in everything we do, no wonder customers from all over the world love to visit.
